Contest

I thought this would be fun. Everyone who leaves a comment on this post will be entered into a drawing to win a necklace of your choice. If you live out of the area, I will ship it to you. So, for all of the people who like to read our blogs, but have never commented before, now it's time you came out of the shadows. You don't have to have a blog to leave a comment. Just sign in as anonymous, but be sure to let me know who you are so I can put your name in the drawing. If you don't have a blog, be sure to check back to see if you're the winner. I will need to get your information if your name is drawn. I will anounce the winner on Monday and since I don't have many readers your chances of winning are GREAT! Good luck!

My New Etsy Store

I guess you've noticed I've gotten into yet another endeaver...necklaces. I've seen them online and loved them. So I decided a couple of months ago to try my hand at making my own . They are great gifts for you or someone you love. I have many more ideas and can't wait to get started so I can get them up for sale in my new online store. If you're bored today, check them out! Please let me know what you think! If anyone is interested in purchasing one, send me a message. That way you don't have to order one online and pay shipping. I have several different stamps that can go on the pendants, such as the cancer ribbon. I'm working on getting tiny baby feet stamps. Wouldn't that make a sweet necklace with your baby's name and or date of birth with two little baby feet on it? Or how about a necklace in memory or honor of someone that has battled cancer? These are just a few ideas, and like I said, I can't wait to make more.

Thank you Mandy and Michele!

I feel honored to receive this award and will be proud to display it on my page! Although I don't blog everday, I really enjoy blogging and I love reading everyone elses blog. I don't see my blog friends much, some not at all, but I do feel a true sense of friendship among you. So thank you for being my blogger buddies, for reading about my everyday life (as boring as it may be some days) and allowing me to be a part of your blog and your life.

Now allow me to give you some explanation of the purpose of the "Proximade"----one creates one's blog and one makes posts to it---over the course of time, one receives comments and develops regular readers, and via reading each others pages and exchanging comments one grows "closer" to these people, ---so via blogging one moves into closer proximity to some individuals than one might not otherwise have come into contact with----and acknowledging this "friendship", this proximity---one earns a "proximade".

I would like to give this same prestigious award to the following:

Kelly, Tina, Shelley, Shannon, and Rhonda

Okay Tina...

You have a lot to catch up on now! But first let me remind you of just how busy I am. If you go to the first post from tonight you will see that we have had soccer and now basketball. Then onto post two, lots of quality family time we've been spending together. Post three, we went from school all day to jumping in leaves, to brushing the leaves out of their hair so we could go to dance and finally back home. And did I mention school?? I know you love us Tina! And you're not the only one getting on me, Jimmy has been too. Almost everyday he asks if I've blogged yet. So here you go Tina and Jimmy and everyone else who has missed me....happy reading!

All gave some. Some gave all.

Thank you to all the veterans who have served our great nation! I thank God that I live in America.

Buried Alive

by leaves that is. The girls have been itching to have the leaves raked up just so they could jump in and bury themselves. Jimmy went to work building a pile for them, and as soon as it was up to par they went jumping. Jimmy would continue to rake more leaves adding to the pile, each time throwing the leaves on the girls. Towards the end he made the pile nice and high and we talked them into doing bellyflops into them. That was funny!

It's raining leaves!

Family Fun Filled Sunday

Jimmy was off this weekend so we were all able to go to church together (which I love!). After church we headed over to his parents for an afternoon of food and fun. The guys wanted to watch the ballgame, so while they did that I took the kids to the movies. The game was over by the time we returned so we pulled out the cornhole boards and had several games of our own, none of which I won. You're surprised? Me too! I think it's because my s.i.l. Kim and I were never paired up. The last time we were a team, we dominated! Anyway, when it was too dark to see the boards we headed in to play rummy. Again I lost. I know...I'm surprised too! You have to be good at something, and well, I'm good at losing. :0) After rummy was dinner and then back home. We don't do this that often, so it was good to all be together.

This is Paul and I with our rockstar poses! ROCK ON!!

Soccer Pizza Party

Who says you have to win a game to have a great team? We may not have won a game, but we had great coaches and a great bunch of kids.Friday night Rebecca's soccer coaches threw the team and the families an end of season pizza party at none other than Napoli's. Rebecca was so excited to be getting another trophy. She is really proud of all her trophies she has acuired over the last couple of years. Soccer ended the Sunday before and basketball started the following Thursday. Practice practice practice. Thanks to the Dilday and Futrell families for a great soccer season!

Homemade donuts (well kind of)

I made a couple of cakes Friday and had tons of icing left over. So Jimmy thought we should make donuts and let the girls ice them. Man, why hadn't I thought of that?? It brought me back to when I was a kid. I use to love doing this, but I never thought of icing them. Jimmy took the girls to lunch and then went by the store to purchase two cans of refrigerated biscuits. We took the biscuits out of the can, put them on a cookie sheet, used a bottle cap to cut out a small circle in the middle, then Jimmy fried them in the frydaddy. When they were done, the girls iced them and put sprinkles on top. Yummy!!! You could also make a glaze out of powdered sugar and a small amount of milk. Fry you up some donuts ya'll!

Tagged Photo

I just noticed that I was tagged by Mandy and this is the picture that I had. This is of Leah in her pajamas with a dance recital costume on over them and her tap shoes! I especially love the hair peice! Everyday is dress-up day at our house.

Now, since I only have a few friends on my blog list and Mandy tagged most of them, I will not be able to tag four, just two and they are Kelly and Shelley.
Here's what you do: 1. Go to pictures 2. Go to the 4th folder 3. Go to the 4th picture and post it! Cant' wait to see what it is.
