I made this turtle cake for a man who requested a green turtle with a pink bow. Since the Wizard of Oz cake, I've had a good amount of cake orders. My next order is for a two tiered ballerina cake. I kind of have some ideas, but I'm still thinking. She wants it to be very girly. This will be a fun one!

My mother in-law had talked about us taking a cake decorating class together. Did you take one or it is a natural ability? lol I tried decorating cup cakes one time and they turned out awful! You do such a great job!
I haven't taken any classes, but I have watched a lot of online videos about different techniques. You can learn just about anything online. I've always enjoyed making my girls bday cakes (I haven't made all of them) and then this year for Christmas my girls got me a cake decorating kit. Since then I've just been practicing a lot. I would love to take a class though. There is so much to learn. You should come over sometime while I'm making one.
