I've always wanted to have a pecan tree ... it's so nice to be able to go out and just pick them up from the yard.
Do you make pecan pie with them?
Oh my gosh! Donielle, that is the cutest picture of your girls! I hope you are going to put it on a Christmas card! Leah's face is just priceless! I just LOVE it!
Fun fun fun! My sister, Mom, and I used to pick pecans at my Ganny's when we were little and have the best time...I miss those days as my grandparents on that side have gone on to a better place!

Donielle, I love, love, love your new header picture! We have some pecan trees around the farm, but they haven't done to well this year. Mrs. Pinky is the pecan picker-upper...lol

Thank you all about the header picture...I finally figured out how to add a pic there. About the pecans, nobody in my family, including me likes pecans or pecan pie. We were picking them for some friends at church. My mom said their trees haven't done well this year either. We weren't able to get many big pecans from the backyard, but there were quite a few little ones in the front. My mom says the little ones are sweeter. Let me know if someone wants any, I'm sure the kids would love to pick some more.
I love the new header picture too. So sweet, and love that you took the kids to pick up pecans with thier grandparents. I remember doing it with mine when I was younger. Thanks for sharing!

we had a pecan tree and the squirrels would litterly throw peacans at u...it was sooo funny.
BTW...LOVE the header pic..that is just too funny/cute.
Tina~I made that same statement last night that I would love to have some of Mama's Pecan Pie! That is one recipe of hers that I cannot find. I have her chocolate chess pie recipe that she always had at holidays, but the pecan pie one must have been in her head.
